NETWORKING OPPORTUNITIES

AMs

Each Friday morning over 100 businesses turn out for the Gresham area's largest networking event. Held at various member locations and hosted by our Ambassadors, this networking opportunity connects you with a cross section of Chamber members and keeps you informed on local and Chamber activities.

After Hours

Our monthly After Hour networking events are hosted by local members and provide a casual and fun networking experience right after work.

Speed Networking

Bring your elevator speech and business cards for this fast-paced and fun event that gives you exposure to dozens of new business contacts in 90 minutes. Speed Networking meetings happen 4 times per year.

Business Connection Fair

The Chamber honors its newest members every Spring and Fall at the Business Connection Fair. New members receive a free table at the fair. This event is free and open to the public.

Small Business Workshop Series

Member businesses have the opportunity to attend and participate in a series of workshops designed to offer the latest information and business management insights necessary in managing and growing a small business.

CONNECTING WITH THE COMMUNITY

The Gresham Area Chamber of Commerce offers the personal rewards of connecting to your community by providing opportunities to participate in a broad range of committees, community activities and projects.

GOVERNMENT AFFAIRS COUNCIL

The Government Affairs Council of Chamber volunteers holds monthly luncheons with a speaker or presentation format designed to inform and involve the business community on national, state and local government issues. The goal of the council is to educate members and influence elected officials with a legislative agenda focused on improving the business climate in the Gresham area.

AMBASSADORS

The Ambassadors, a group of Chamber volunteers, sponsor the Friday morning AMs, After Hours, and Speed Networking, organize business ribbon cuttings, grand openings and special events. In addition, the Ambassadors welcome dignitaries and represent the Gresham Area Chamber at community events, forums and showcases.

RESOURCE TEAM

The Resource Team utilizes Chamber volunteers in growing and serving the Chamber's membership. The Resource Team helps welcome new members and show them how to get the most out of their membership and and encourage existing members to remain active in the Chamber through our "Operation Thank You Program."

TRY LOCAL FIRST COALITION

The Chamber formed this coalition of Chamber and community volunteers to launch a robust public-awareness campaign urging East County citizens to support their own quality of life by supporting local businesses. This program runs several campaigns throughout the year supporting local businesses and is a strong presence at almost every community activity.

CHAMBER EVENTS

GOLDEN NOTE AWARDS LUNCHEON

The Chamber's Golden Note Award is presented at a luncheon, which recognizes outstanding individuals who have been selected by organizations in our area. The "Golden Note" is a volunteer selected by a non-profit, service or fraternal organization, government agency or private business."

EAST COUNTY'S GOT TALENT

In 2010, the Chamber will host the 1st East County's Got Talent event, which will be held once a year in April. The event will showcase a variety of talent acts from all over the East County area. Don't miss out on your opportunity to shine.

JOB AND CAREER FAIR

Held once a year this job and career fair has over 50 businesses from around East County, the State of Oregon and national corporations seeking qualified candidates in our community. This event is free and open to the public.

GOLF TOURNAMENT

The tournament is a day filled with fun golfing competition and socializing. The tournament gives you an opportunity to meet business contacts you may or may not have had the opportunity to meet otherwise. The tournament is held at a Chamber member golf course.

EAST COUNTY ECONOMIC SUMMIT

Each year the Chamber puts emphasis on a different segment of our community that helps to promote enthusiasm and action for economic development. This event is always focused on the most current economic situations and how they will affect our businesses and community.
