Certificate of Origin
Gresham's Economic Development reaches across the globe. Some product destinations require a Certificate of Origin (CO) for certain commodities. For your convenience, the Gresham Area Chamber of Commerce can provide this documentation and seal. The purpose of the CO is to authenticate the country of origin of the merchandise being shipped. An exporter will be required to present a Certificate of Origin, which is certified by a designated regulatory authority.
Requirements for Certificate of Origin:
- Location: business/exporter must be located in Oregon.
- Manufacturer’s Invoice: as well as other documents indicating the origin of the goods for which certification is requested.
- Certificate of Origin Affidavit: this document should be prepared on the Chamber’s form and MUST contain the Chamber’s disclaimer prior to attaching the Chamber seal.
- Exporter’s Representation: this document should be prepared on your company letterhead and kept on file at the Chamber (a copy can be obtained from the Chamber).
Price Per Certificate Signature – Chamber members: $5 per document; Non-members: $25 per document.
