The Gresham Area Chamber of Commerce is seeking an approachable, collaborative leader with an inspirational spirit. We’re looking for someone who can nurture and promote the Chamber’s mission: to support local businesses, strengthen the local economy, and enhance community partnerships. Our Board of Directors is diverse and a true reflection of our membership. Our mantra: “Advocate, Educate, Collaborate.”
The CEO reports directly to the Executive Board of Directors and is responsible for day‑to‑day operations and administration of the Chamber. This individual serves as the Chamber’s chief spokesperson, guiding strategic initiatives and advocating for the local business community. Success in this role requires a thoughtful, politically savvy communicator with a passion for business, the nonprofit sector and regional tourism.
Qualifications & Responsibilities
- Demonstrated history as a successful CEO or senior‑level executive
- Management experience leading a team of five or more
- Working knowledge of accounting principles
- Politically savvy, advocating business policy
- Strong interpersonal, written, and public‑speaking communication skills
- Ability to oversee marketing and all communication efforts
- Proficient and comfortable with technology
- Responsible for strategic planning, implementation, and fiscal integrity within the approved budget, including monthly financial reporting
- Drive, grow, and nurture Chamber membership and community partnerships
Compensation & Benefits
- $100K annually
